A hackathon that focuses on creating solutions for two of Austin’s pressing issues: Affordability and Transportation.
When is it?
Austin’s HackOurCity will be a 3 day event starting March 9th through March 11th. Activities will begin on March 9th @ 6pm and conclude on March 11th @ 6pm.
What is the purpose?
To come up with creative solutions for the pressing issues of Affordability and Transportation that could harm Austin’s future growth and stability.
How will it work?
Participants are going to work within smaller teams on each issue, either Affordability or Transportation. After defining and creating a feasible solutions for these issues, each team will present their solution to the judges.
What are the Rewards?
In addition to the satisfaction of making Austin a better place to live, all participants will receive complimentary Meals and Hotel Lodging (if you reside outside of Austin). Amongst other gifts, the winning teams will also receive a complimentary 2016 SXSW Interactive Badge.
When is the deadline to apply?
You have until February 6th to apply.
Accepted applicants will be notified by February 12th.
